More Interesting Strategies![]() The puzzle shown to the right starts you with 25 tiles filled in. It may look difficult because of the two empty square, but those will solve readily enough using the same methods as were introduced in Example 4. In fact, I find most Sudoku puzzles I solve are mostly solved with the basic methods and only a few steps require more elaborate strategy such as is illustrated in examples 4 and 5. Please note that the for demonstration purposes the more interesting steps shown in the example are not always the simplest next step available. Rather, they are chosen to illustrate strategies not used in the first three puzzles. |
